Hello *waves enthusiastically*

Welcome to our brand new site for S-T-O-C-K-S. I am Kate the founder and one of the leaders of S-T-O-C-K-S which stands for St. Thomas Of Canterbury Kids Sunday, from St. Thomas' Church, Letchworth Garden City.

St. Thomas' stands to serve to west side of our town, in particular the Wilbury district ward and was for a time a part of the Norton Parish. Today we have members of the congregation travelling over eight miles to come to Church. A true testament to our hard work and commitment to our family led by our Vicar the Reverend Barry Pate.

The community in Wilbury is diverse and positive with many exciting things happening. I am pleased to promote S-T-O-C-K-S as part of the activities of St. Thomas' Church and we all look forward to welcoming you to S-T-O-C-K-S.

S-T-O-C-K-S was formed in the latter part of 2011 as more of a crèche than a Sunday School. Initially there was one weekly member but has since blossomed into a hands on, fun, Sunday School with over twenty children on the register.

We aim to provide a happy, safe and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities while teaching the lessons through the King James Version of The Bible and spreading God's Love. S-T-O-C-K-S meets on the first Sunday of every month but as of late we are ready and waiting for the children each and every week. A true testament to our hard work and dedication to the Children's Ministry in our Diocese.

Our Sunday School is still relatively young in that we only formed a few years ago but with a little nurturing, time and effort we have grown from strength to strength. Not only in numbers but also with the material/teachings we are sharing with the children who attend. We actively encourage lessons on Values and Morals which coincide with the Christian Faith. As a Church Of England Parish we aim to inform and educate the children on the story of The Bible. Spreading the message God's Love is at the forefront of our sessions, along with providing a safe, fun and welcoming environment for all.

But why keep all that goodness to ourselves?

With living in an ever evolving technological age what better way to share our resources and activities with people than via the internet. On this site you will find a relaxed but professional source of information of all things relating to our work with children of all ages.

Every now and then there will be a guest blog post from members of our congregation, yes that includes you Vicar ;-) These can vary from poems they have written, crafts they have made or a sermon they have spoken one Sunday. I personally am a huge fan of music so be prepared to see some you tube videos ranging from myself, Shakira to the Tibetan Monks.

We at S-T-O-C-K-S hope you find the crafts enjoyable to share make and do with your little ones and we welcome any new ideas or if you just want to get in touch you can leave your feedback in the comments below the posts. Alternatively you can contact us via the email address or Twitter links on the contact page.

Until next time,
Every Blessing

Kate at S-T-O-C-K-S
